Job Description:
Customer.io is seeking a collaborative and product-focused QA Engineer to join our growing Engineering team. In this role, you will contribute to the development of a scalable platform and have a direct impact on the quality of our product. We are looking for individuals who enjoy solving puzzles, working in a remote environment, and are passionate about building products that customers love.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement test plans, scenarios, and scripts to ensure the quality of our services
- Help define and test new features and infrastructure for our platform
- Contribute to and maintain our automation suite
- Collaborate with colleagues through code reviews, pair programming, and training to enhance collective knowledge and best practices
- Assist tech support teams in diagnosing operational issues and helping customers achieve their goals
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Experience working with customers and understanding their needs
- Ability to participate in technical discussions and provide QA perspective
- Proficiency in manual testing and identifying opportunities for automation
- Strong skills in developing reliable test automation using Python and conducting code reviews
- Familiarity with web application testing tools like Cypress or Selenium
- Experience working in a distributed company is preferred
- Availability to overlap with 9 am ET to 12 pm ET
