About the Role:
The Warehouse & Logistics Officer at agriBORA is pivotal in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our warehouse. Responsibilities include inventory management, warehouse operations oversight, logistics coordination, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:
- Implement and maintain accurate inventory management in the ERP system.
- Monitor and control inventory levels to minimize stockouts and overstock situations.
- Conduct regular stock assessments and reconcile discrepancies.
- Warehouse Operations:
- Plan and organize the layout of the warehouse for optimal space utilization.
- Oversee the receiving, storage, and dispatch of agricultural products.
- Implement efficient picking, packing, and shipping processes.
- Ensure compliance with quality control standards.
- Logistics Coordination:
- Execute logistics plans for input delivery to agriHUBS and harvest aggregation for off-takers.
- Coordinate smooth transportation of goods to and from the warehouse.
- Optimize delivery routes for efficiency, utilizing digital tools for real-time tracking.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation of shipments.
- Environmental and Safety Compliance:
- Implement and enforce safety regulations and protocols within the warehouse.
- Respond to and investigate safety incidents, implementing corrective actions.
- Quality Assurance:
- Implement and maintain quality control measures for all stored products.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Key Qualifications:
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional Experience:
- Proven experience in warehouse management within the agribusiness sector.
- Strong knowledge of agricultural products, storage requirements, and industry regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management software, Microsoft Office applications, and ERPNext.
- Logistics Execution:
- Hands-on experience in executing logistics plans and coordinating transportation.
- Route Optimization:
- Basic understanding of route optimization principles.
- Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate records of inventory levels, transportation schedules, and delivery documentation.
- Communication Skills:
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate logistics activities.
