Job Description:
Troutman Pepper, a national law firm with a commitment to employee support and advancement, invites talented, motivated, growth-minded, and creative individuals to explore the position of Accounts Payable Clerk. Join our team and contribute to a stronger future through inclusion and innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy and compliance with firm policies, ensuring proper coding.
- Set up vendor records and ensure W-9 and W-8 form compliance.
- Create and edit Excel spreadsheets, uploading information into the accounting system.
- Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
- Investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor payments and monthly vendor statements.
- Clarify any questionable invoice items, obtaining proper information and/or data regarding invoice payments.
- Maintain historical records of all invoices, reports, receipts, and checks in appropriate network locations.
- Assist with mail; distribute weekly checks; file and scan according to department document management procedures.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask in a high-volume, fast-paced office environment.
- Clear and effective communication, both written and oral, with professionals within the firm and clients as necessary.
- Ability to work occasional overtime on an approved basis.
- Outstanding customer/client service and interpersonal skills.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and collaborate within a team environment.
- Maintenance of confidentiality of firm data.

Any combination of experience and education/training demonstrating the ability to perform the essential duties of the job.

Hiring Salary Range:
$38,000.00 – $58,000.00
