Job Description:
AWID seeks a full-time Logistics and Administrative Coordinator to facilitate the smooth execution of in-person and hybrid meetings and events. This role, operating remotely, offers flexibility and remote work benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Support AWID staff with travel logistics, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Coordinate logistical aspects of planned convenings, including catering and audio-visual requirements.
- Act as the main point of contact for accounting procedures and liaise with external vendors.
- Draft communications for internal and external participants regarding logistics.
- Coordinate travel arrangements for convening attendees, including flight bookings and accommodations.
- Maintain accurate documentation for supply orders and payments.
- Attend relevant convenings to manage onsite logistics.
- Provide travel guidance and track travel needs for staff.
- Manage AWID’s UN ECOSOC status and other registrations for external convenings.
- Develop and support accessibility practices for organizational processes.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a non-profit development or gender-focused organization.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in English and computer literacy.
- Ability to travel internationally approximately 6-8 weeks per year.
Desirable Skills:
- Familiarity with feminist theory and movement-building frameworks.
- Knowledge of financial management and budgeting.
- Multilingual proficiency (English, Spanish, French).
- Courses or certificates in gender studies or nonprofit management.
- Experience working in a global, virtual organization.
