Job Description: Content Writer and Editor (Remote or Sheffield HQ)

Job Role: Content Writer and Editor

Location: Remote or Sheffield HQ (must be based in the UK)

Annual Salary: £23,000 per annum

Contract: 12 months, with a view to renewing

Line Manager: Lorna Head

Recruiter: Hope Parkin

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday-Friday, 8 am – 4.30 pm)

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a team of passionate teachers to create and edit online content for teachers across the UK.
  • Work within a Fast Response team (RRR) to fill content gaps and upload new resources quickly.
  • Create resources to support teaching and learning across the curriculum.
  • Provide editorial feedback on grammar, punctuation, curriculum relevance, and factual accuracy.
  • Use your teacher knowledge to elevate resource content to an excellent standard.
  • Respond to customer needs and current teaching methodologies with your content creation.
  • Engage with writers, editors, designers, and illustrators to maintain excellent communication.
  • Curate and update existing content on site to meet customer needs.
  • Generate and contribute ideas for new content across Twinkl.
  • Assist with administrative tasks associated with the role.

Qualifications:

  • Completed primary qualified teacher status: PGCE, B.Ed, or equivalent.
  • 2 years of full classroom teaching experience after QTS is complete.
  • Excellent communicator and team player.
  • Detailed and up-to-date knowledge of the National Curriculum in England.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and G Suite.
  • Familiarity with different IT platforms and tools.
  • Understanding of the teaching community in England and current educational trends.
  • Drive for continuous professional development.
