Responsibilities:

  • Transfer data from paper formats to computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders, or optical scanners.
  • Enter data provided directly from customers.
  • Generate error-free spreadsheets, even with extensive figures.
  • Verify data accuracy by comparing it to source documents.
  • Update existing data entries.
  • Retrieve requested data from the database or electronic files.
  • Conduct regular data backups to ensure preservation.
  • Organize paperwork to prevent data loss after entry.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a data entry clerk.
  • Fast and accurate typing skills; familiarity with touch typing strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of office equipment, computer hardware, and peripheral devices.
  • Basic understanding of databases.
  • Proficient English language skills, both written and oral, coupled with excellent customer service abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
