Key Responsibilities:
- Process applications efficiently while adhering to USDA guidelines.
- Communicate effectively and compassionately with schools and households via phone or email.
- Maintain household cases in a database to ensure accurate issuance of benefits.
- Understand eligibility guidelines and the application approval process.
- Investigate flagged applications and follow up with households or schools as needed.
- Maintain organized case files in compliance with record retention policies.
- Collaborate with leadership to resolve customer concerns and system issues.
- Provide courteous and timely frontline customer service interactions.
- Greet customers and provide guidance and information in a polite manner.
- Track customer interactions and generate reports for management.
- Escalate complex inquiries to supervisors for review.
- Research information to provide accurate answers to customer inquiries.
- Receive and prepare replies to routine correspondence.
- Operate office machines related to specific tasks.
- Stay updated on changes in rules and regulations regarding the Summer EBT program.
- Make recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous.
