Key Responsibilities:

  • Process applications efficiently while adhering to USDA guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively and compassionately with schools and households via phone or email.
  • Maintain household cases in a database to ensure accurate issuance of benefits.
  • Understand eligibility guidelines and the application approval process.
  • Investigate flagged applications and follow up with households or schools as needed.
  • Maintain organized case files in compliance with record retention policies.
  • Collaborate with leadership to resolve customer concerns and system issues.
  • Provide courteous and timely frontline customer service interactions.
  • Greet customers and provide guidance and information in a polite manner.
  • Track customer interactions and generate reports for management.
  • Escalate complex inquiries to supervisors for review.
  • Research information to provide accurate answers to customer inquiries.
  • Receive and prepare replies to routine correspondence.
  • Operate office machines related to specific tasks.
  • Stay updated on changes in rules and regulations regarding the Summer EBT program.
  • Make recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous.
