Position Summary / Essential Functions:
As an International Guest Services member, you’ll focus on ensuring non-English-speaking groups and guests have an exceptional cruise experience. From handling special requests to acting as a translator, your role is pivotal in providing a first-class cruise experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle special requests from non-English-speaking groups and individual guests, ensuring a top-tier cruise experience.
  • Collaborate with Group Services Coordinator and Guest Service Manager for special requests like Honeymoon set-ups, Anniversary Packages, and more.
  • Assist in organizing group events and liaise with Group Leaders of non-English-speaking guests.
  • Offer assistance to guests for restaurant bookings, special dietary needs, and local/dietary food orders.
  • Be available during embarkation, disembarkation, port talks, Immigration, Customs inspections, etc., to assist non-English-speaking guests.
  • Act as a translator for guests communicating with shipboard departments.
  • Coordinate announcements and translate/print the Freestyle Daily into required languages.
  • Greet non-English-speaking VIP guests staying in suites.
  • Handle guest requests, maintain a cash float, and assist Cruise Programs department in leading activities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in English and at least one other language (German, Spanish, Russian, French, or Italian).
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Micros, and Fidelio Cruise.
  • Minimum one year of management experience in Hotel and/or hospitality establishments or Guest Service-related positions on board ships.

Education:

  • Two-year Associates degree or equivalent in Public Relations and/or Hotel management from a recognized hotel institution.

Attributes:

  • Able to work independently, think critically, and be a patient listener.
  • Comfortable speaking publicly to large groups.
  • Customer service and guest relations oriented with leadership skills.
  • Proactive, team player, problem solver, and passionate about hospitality and customer service.
