Job Description: Venue Scout

Join our dynamic team to lead the charge in discovering exceptional retreat venues globally. As a Venue Scout, you will work closely with our corporate retreat manager and venue specialists to expand our network of retreat locations. This role plays a pivotal part in creating magical retreat experiences for our corporate and group clients.

Responsibilities:

• Adhere to a daily schedule.
• Collaborate with the corporate retreat team to identify locations, size, environment, and type of venues needed.
• Develop a plan to proactively source venues in primary and up-and-coming markets.
• Own your professional development through regular reflections and 1:1 meetings with your lead.
• Contact venues for additional data and ensure information is up to date.

Requirements:

• Thorough knowledge of the travel industry.
• Experience in venue sourcing.
• Proven ability to manage relationships with external business partners.
• Customer-service oriented with technical proficiency.
• Problem-solving ability with good business judgment.
• Highly organized with excellent prioritization skills.
• Experience with email communication, Google Sheets, and Google Docs.
• Willingness to learn with a friendly personality.

Bonus Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years in Hospitality Management or Travel/Event Planning.
• Travel Consultant or Corporate Travel experience.
• Previous work in a customer service environment.
• Experience with CRM systems.
• Thorough knowledge of the travel industry, including fares and domestic and international markets.
• Familiarity with industry-leading travel tools.

Application Process:
The position starts on a contract basis with a paid trial for the first 2 weeks. After an initial period of 10-20 hours per week, the goal is to ramp up to 30-40 hours per week. The company values finding the right person over specific hours, offering flexibility based on individual circumstances.
