Job Description:

Are you a skilled writer passionate about SEO and eager to optimize content for maximum reach? Join our team at Vox Media as an SEO Updates Coordinator for POPSUGAR. In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in enhancing our website’s visibility and driving audience engagement through strategic content optimization.

Responsibilities:

• Optimization of Content Archive: Ensure our .com archive is optimized to enhance search rankings and cater to audience search intent.
• Content Enhancement: Update existing content to drive SEO traffic by aligning copy and imagery with SEO guidelines and brand standards.
• Keyword Optimization: Collaborate with the POPSUGAR SEO team to review search fields on priority stories, ensuring the use of appropriate keywords and SEO best practices.
• Recirculation and Engagement: Optimize the article archive to highlight related content, fostering increased recirculation, affiliate activity, and time spent on site, particularly focusing on Lifestyle content.
• SEO Best Practices: Act as a newsroom expert on SEO practices for headlines, taxonomy, internal linking, and content creation strategies.
• Analytics-driven Approach: Utilize tools like Google Trends and Keywords Everywhere to conduct research and develop content that resonates with search audiences.
• Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy and quality in content updates, demonstrating strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Proactive Initiative: Thrive in a fast-paced environment as a proactive self-starter, contributing to the continuous improvement of content optimization processes.

Qualifications:

• Strong writing skills and passion for SEO optimization.
• Knowledgeable about SEO tools and best practices.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment in content coverage and optimization strategies.
• Proactive and adaptable team player with excellent organizational skills.
• Experience with Google Trends, Keywords Everywhere, and other SEO tools is advantageous.
